For one of the last installations at The Electronic Orphanage, Los Angeles, in 2001, Mike Calvert transformed the space into a storefront with a phone number projected onto a large screen. Anonymous calls to the number generated the artwork. According to Manetas, “NEEN [...] is more of a state of mind or an undefined psychology than a piece of art, design, or architecture.
