Missed it this year unfortunately. David, were there any particular pieces or presentations that stood out to you? Curious what's resonating with the Hong Kong collector base.

Carlos, the standout for me was a room-scale projection piece by a young Hong Kong artist working with real-time weather data from Victoria Harbour. The technical execution was impressive but what really worked was the emotional register — contemplative rather than spectacular.

That sounds beautiful. Do you remember the artist's name? I'd love to look into their work.

Was at the preview yesterday. The curation this year is noticeably stronger — they've moved away from the "digital art booth" ghetto and integrated works throughout the fair. Several pieces were shown alongside traditional contemporary art without any special framing. That's progress.

This is exactly the kind of integration that matters. When digital art is shown "as art" rather than "as digital art," it signals to both collectors and institutions that the medium has arrived. The separation was always artificial.

The collector energy around this edition feels different from previous years. Less speculation, more genuine curatorial interest. Several of my advisory clients attended specifically for the digital art programming, which would have been unthinkable two years ago.
